Andy North says Champions Tour players love coming to Sioux Falls because of the fans

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -Festivities for the Sanford International are already underway this week with the Champions Tour event starting Friday and running through Sunday.

You could almost call it the Steve Stricker Invitational since he’s won 4 of the 8 tournaments thus far and he hasn’t even played in all of them. He loves it here.

Tournament host Andy North knows this is one of the favorite stops on tour for all of these guys.

Andy North, Sanford International host says, “They really appreciate the fans here. They like to show off. They love to hit shots in front of people and have reactions and we see that a lot. We’re standing out here at the 18th hole and the buildout is going to be amazing again. What a great way to finish a golf tournament with the people hanging out over the edges yelling and screaming and having a good time.”

The Tournament runs through Sunday. Stricker is back trying for win #5 along with new guys like Henrik Stenson, Zach Johnson and Justin Leonard.
